We began as a facility dedicated towards assisting scientists part of the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit (MRC PPU) in 1998. Our own team consists of individuals with extensive background in molecular biology and biochemistry trained to provide reagents to the standard expected at the MRC PPU.
Sharing reagents in science is requisite and facilitates collaboration, but also advances findings and validates past results. It is these steps that help move science forward. Investigators at the MRC PPU have published cutting edge science for many years, and as expected, the tools used in their papers have been requested extensively to further others’ work, and the field as a whole.
Given the number of reagents requested, we created a website in 2013 that facilitated access to those research tools in our database. Though our original portfolio began focused on kinases, phosphatases and enzymes in the ubiquitin system, our scientists -- and hence our reagents - have expanded into new realms. We welcome you to review our ever-expanding catalogue of reagents to identify those that may help you with your own research endeavours.
Moreover, we are happy to provide assistance with custom-generated proteins or antibodies for investigators. We have thus far worked on numerous projects with investigators from around the world based in academia as well as the pharma and biotech sectors. Please let us know how we can help you!
Science can move forward quickly with great minds….and can move even faster with reliable research tools. We began as an in-house service to help investigators based at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit streamline their research efforts. Our remit has now expanded such that we are pleased to offer not only those reagents already made and tested by MRC PPU Investigators, but also contract research services for custom cDNA clone, protein and antibody generation available to the wider research community.
As scientists, we are all aware that sharing policies exist from many governmental and non-governmental funding sources as a way to ensure that taxpayer and donor support is held accountable by those on the receiving end. But why should funding sources be responsible for creating the same tool multiple times? As long as researchers share – their findings, their knowledge – as well as their plasmids, proteins and antibodies, we can all work together to validate findings and ultimately to accelerate science.
We pride ourselves in our customer service and in ensuring that the work we do is not only accurate but that it helps each customer move their projects forward, that much quicker. In this way we hope that we can contribute to your research goals – and ultimately to moving science forward!
Please contact us to discuss your individual requirements and how we might assist you.
Our tens of thousands of reagents were created for the very same experts whose publications you, as scientists, hold in such high regard. Their attention to detail and required level of rigor are what make our reagents and services those which you can trust for your own research endeavours. And our collections of reagents extends far beyond key kinase and ubiquitin targets – to associated substrates and interacting proteins.
Moreover, our services are available to scientists worldwide. We want to discuss your project requirements with you and help in any way we can. While we offer a number services key to protein generation and antibody development, if there is something you need and don’t see – just ask! You can be confident that we will approach your project with professionalism and efficiency. It is for all these reasons that our customers keep coming back.
Let us help you take your research to the next level!
If you’re new, why not try us out? We look forward to hearing from you!
Expertise. Trustworthy. Professional.
