Origin unknown. ASked to sequence by Gerta Hoxhaj who obatined from Graham Hardie group. The VSVG-GFP is a temperature sensitive mutant- it is stuck in the ER when cells are at 40 degrees celcius and released from ER and trafficks to GOLGI and Plasma membrane when the temperature is shift to 32 degrees celcius. This is an assay for the secretory pathway.
