Proteins | MRC PPU Reagents and Services

Reagents ProteinsAll the products in our catalogue, including proteins, are produced with a singular attention to detail and undergo an in-house quality control assessment that reflects the level of rigor required by the scientists at the MRC PPU.  Thus customers can have confidence in all our products.  Moreover, given the large number of enzymes in our catalogue, we are diligent in our approach to ensuring that the resultant protein is active and has been tested appropriately against an optimal substrate. The identify of all our proteins is verified by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry.  A datasheet for each protein will be provided in the future that includes additional details of the protein and a coomassie-stained SDS-PAGE image.

Those proteins generated reflect not only the scientific focus of the MRC PPU – kinases, phosphatases, E1 activating enzymes, E2 conjugating enzyme, E2 ubiquitin ligases and deubiquitylases – but far beyond.  As research around each of these enzyme families has proceeded, more has been uncovered.  This is reflected in our catalogue as interacting proteins and substrates of family members from these enzyme subclasses.

We routinely use bacteria and insect cells as hosts to generate proteins of interest and have optimized our purification methods over the years to suit each one.  We invite you to investigate our catalogue further – including our collections – to find those proteins that can help accelerate your own research endeavours!

All proteins are provided as 100 microgram aliquots
